Useful and inexpensive infections diseases app. Simple as that.

Doesnt run on iPhone 3G.. Ive tried deleting, reinstalling, deleting, redownloading... I get the opening screen and then nothing.
As Mark indicates, less than a penny per page. Well worth it, especially for non ID docs. If you have listened to even one Gobbet o pus then make the purchase.
Great reference, find info very fast in different ways
ER Doc: use it all the time. Cheeky, informative, well-linked between topics and quickly searchable. My go-to ID resource for individual pathogens and ID problems that present infrequently. Mark, your efforts are much appreciated.
This app, by far, is the best ID handbook/app Ive ever seen/used. Very well organized with just the right amount of information. Any time Ive looked something up about a bug/infection/treatment in this app, Ive been able to get an answer in less than a minute. I hope the developer (an ID doc) keeps this project going for a long time to come!
I am a Canadian emergency physician. This app has been my go to for a long time now. It is like having a friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly surly, ID doc available at all times to answer my dumbest questions. It is well worth more than the asking price and I highly recommend it to all of my friends and colleagues. There should be more apps like this around.
...and bravado? Yes. This app is generally great with hard links to scientific papers. But I am somewhat intelligent and dont always get the authors jokes, quips and slang. I am also surprised he bothers to react negatively - get on a soap box in the app - to denigrate alternative health practitioners...as if his side of his mistakenly constructed either/or argument about practices and modalities is godly and as if everyone elses is stupid. He is blind to the fact his diagnostic approach is "alternative" to some in family medicine. And he would do well to realize the world isnt so black and white. If not colorful to match his over-the-top lingo, medical practices are at least many shades of gray these days. Maybe 50 or more.
A great app!! We teach residents & students here in the Canadian Western Arctic. I have shared with them the antibiotics use rant--food for thought, for sure! Humour appreciated as well. Cheers & keep up the good work, Dr. Leah Seaman Inuvik, NWT
Practical, concise, and entertaining, this app has got it all!
I purchased this thinking that it would be a quick reference for bugs and drugs - it was quite disappointing to find that it is a opinion based app and really I am not sure how credible it is - unsuitable for my needs and not worth the money!
It doesnt work and nobody tells me why. The start page appears only and nothing else. Now its OK. It works. Not so good: the list of disease ends at "peritonitis". And pneumonia? If you search it youll find it but the file is empty. The worst application Ive bought.
Whats not to love?
App opens --> drugs and bugs listed --> upon selecting medication or bacteria section opens however description is blank for every Med and bug.
program works fine on my end. Is this after an update or a new download? Did you try a delete, reboot and reinstall? That cures issues with many programs. it is easier to fix problems if you frop me an email at edgydoc.com rather than in the review section -Crislip
One of the best medical references I have ever worked with. I use this daily in the hospital - this in an ID consult in your pocket!
Makes me a better doctor as it correlates disease, bug, and drug - not just disease/drug like most apps out there. Great to brush up on micro! And freakin hilarious. This little gem was in the meningitis entry under risk factors: "Having a brain (republicans are intrinsically resistant)."
Useful app, funny comments make it a welcome change of pace from the other medical apps I use as a student.
Good and entertaining info. He website is a blast as well. Highly recommended.
Im a hospital pharmacist and I use this app almost everyday to make recommendations to the medical staff. Easy to use and accurate.
